Great Dining Experience In "Happening" Restaurant In Downtown Dallas.
Visited for a large group business dinner. The decor and ambiance is definitely upscale that creates an electrifying atmosphere, really well done.
Service was as expected for a fine dining experience, solid but nothing over the top (which was good because it was a business dinner.) Chef came out to almost every table once or twice during service which was a nice touch.
Started with a complimentary tasting from the chef of a fried cheese (very good). Most popular dishes for our group were as follows:
Appetizers: Steak tartare & crudo
Mains: Steak with country friend lobster, Elk and Rabbit Enchilada combo (really amazing dish!!!)
Will visit again if back in Dallas. -

Was really excited about dining at Fearing's and had high expectations and had heard great things about the restaurant so, made a reservation for my birthday. Restaurant is in the Ritz and is a gorgeous location, our bartender Ryan was fantastic. Our service at dinner was also very good. Dinner however was a whole different story, my wife ordered the "wagyu" style steak, which ended up having no marabelization and was tough and chewy. The steak was pretty average quality for the over $80 price. I ordered the chicken fried lobster, which was great taste wise, but rubbery and just seemed over cooked. Dessert was outstanding, the blueberry pies and peach cobbler were some of the best dessert dishes I have ever had. At this point in the night it was an average meal, with great service and dessert, 3 maybe 4 stars.
However, it went down hill. Shortly after arriving home I started feeling terrible, but shrugged it off to over indulging. Sadly it was not over indulgence, but instead was food poisoning and I spent the next several hours of the night vomiting up the above mentioned food. I gave the restaurant a call the next morning to let them know, as I figured they would want to be aware. I was told the manager was busy, so gave them my info and what happened. No apology when I told them what happened and the manager never bothered to even call back.
If the dinner had just been average it would have been fine, I enjoyed the service and atmosphere. However, to get average food, food poisoning, and not so much as even a returned call, after a nearly $400 tab for dinner. Well, that is 1 star at best, or maybe even zero. I suppose one star should be reserved for places that don't poison their guests.
Had high hopes, will not be returning though, I can get food poisoning for way less than $400 some place else... -

Fearing's is one of the best (if not the best) restaurant in Dallas! You definitely pay for it though. I have been for lunch and dinner and have enjoyed both.
The lunch atmosphere is very business oriented with almost everyone walking or driving from their nearby downtown offices. The meal always begins with a breadbasket with smokey butter and homemade cornbread and rolls.
For lunch, I would recommend the Rattlesnake Burger. It was absolutely AMAZING. One of the best burgers I have EVER had. It was perfectly medium-rare with Dean's special sauce, caramelized onions, limp/uncrispy bacon, and fresh cabbage for an added little crunch. Be warned, it is very messy! I might recommend you asking for them to cut it in half in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the side of fries that comes with the burger were not great. They were under cooked and the seasoning tasted off, however, the burger was so good that I would 100% get it again.
If you don't want something as messy as the burger, I would do the cobb salad with chicken-fried lobster (the chicken fried lobster is the house specialty during dinner.)
I would also recommend the tortilla soup, which is another classic. The soup comes out in a bowl with the dry ingredients and the server pours the broth over the dry ingredients. It definitely is not my favorite Tortilla Soup, but it is a fun process to watch and pretty unique to Fearings.
If you go for dinner, the chicken-friend lobster is the way to go. It is what Fearing's is undoubtedly known for, and it is absolutely delicious! I would also recommend starting with the tortilla soup.
Don't forget - make a reservation!!! ... and ORDER THE BURGER!!! -

I love to frequent this restaurant (located in the ritz Carlton dallas) as they have the best margaritas around. The service is always impeccable and typically the food is as well however this night the food was rather salty. We had a party of 6 so we ordered a bunch of food to share, my guests all shared a similar reaction. I decided to give 3 stars because this place is supposed to be on their game all the time. No excuses. Especially for the price. I will most likely return because I'm sure this night was not the norm. Hopefully this review will be an eye opener to management.

This is an excellent location for an upscale dinner! Everything about this restaurant deserves 5 stars. The atmosphere, the service, the food, he chef, the over all experience... superb. Compliments to the chef, Dean Fearings, for making the time to stop by our table and welcome us to his restaurant. He also sent various appetizers and desserts to our table (compliments of the chef) for our celebration. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
